Fun With Brush Packs in Photoshop

My proficiency in Photoshop is nothing spectacular. In fact, many times I’d rather grab a piece of paper and work by hand. But, a while back I downloaded one of those nice comprehensive brush packs. The kind that features every ridiculous shape and pattern you could imagine.

I played around for a bit unit a plant emerged. Using about 12 different brushes, and a wacom tablet I was able to create something, that frightfully enough, looks like it could be bought as a T-Shirt on the boardwalk. The lighter impressions at the base of the tree are a result of using the pressure sensitive eraser with the brush pack. Despite using multiple brushes and strokes, all the work was done on one layer.

Anyway, here it is. Ain’t it cheesy?
